Insider Wine Tours

Beau Wine Tours has recently been featured on CBS Evening Magazine for our exceptional "Insider Wine Tours," where the true wine connoisseur can have the ultimate Napa Valley experience. These customized (and very exclusive) tours are for the serious collectors who are looking for truly ultra premium wines to stock their cellars. All Insider Tours include a sit-down, catered gourmet luncheon at a private winery, and winemaker dinners are also an option. These private VIP tours go to the heart of Napa Valley for the most intimate tasting experiences.

Insider Wine Tours are full day wine tours ranging from 6 to 12 hours depending on final itinerary and pick-up location, and limited to 6 or less people. Please call for quote.

The following are descriptions of previous Insider Wine Tours
(each tour is always unique and wineries will vary)

An Insider's Day with Beau Wine Tours!

Your day begins around 9:30AM as you board your own private, stretch limousine. Your knowledgeable (and well connected) tour guide will greet you and your guests with complimentary champagne and begin escorting you through the valley.

Your first winery stop takes you 2000 feet up to the top of the Mayacamas mountain range in one of Napa's most celebrated appellations. Your morning tour of the winery will walk you through lush vineyards, experience cool-climate wine caves, and taste some very limited production wines. Afterwards you will be treated to a fully catered gourmet lunch overlooking the most scenic vistas in wine country!

Your next stop will be a tour and tasting in the famed Oakville District (home of big Cabernets) at a private winery just off the Silverado Trail. This elegant property has been built adjacent to a "ghost winery" (closed and abandoned after prohibition). Tastings will include highly rated chardonnays, very rich merlots, and delicious cabernets.

Finally, you will be taken on an extensive barrel tasting tour through the caves of one of Napa's hottest new producers. Get ready for sensory overload as you sample several different barrel types that are aging the same Cabernet! This is a true wine connesseur's experience, but it doesn't end there. A final tasting of the finished product (current releases) takes place in the "back room" along with a variety of aged cheese.

THE SADDLEBACK - SPRING MOUNTAIN TOUR

Begin your day with a visit to Seguin Moreau, the French barrel maker at the southern tip of the Napa Valley. It's the spot where the journey of many of California's great wines, begin their lives. Blind-taste experimental wines aged in various types of oak barrels; and conclude your visit to this prestigious cooperage by attempting to make your own barrel --if you dare!

Then back in your Beau limo for a short ride up-valley to the rustic barn-like winery, Saddleback Cellars, where one of California's greatest winemakers, Nils Venge, will taste you on his very highly regarded Cabernet Sauvignons, of which there exist only 300 cases. In the heart of Oakville, surrounded by some of the world's greatest vineyards such as Opus One, Silver Oak, Groth, and PlumpJack, Mr. Oakville will spin some of his California cowboy yarns, while you sip some of his rare California Pinot Blanc.

Next, it's up to the 1,700-foot elevation on top of storied Spring Mountain, where we'll pass through the locked gates of tiny Barnett Vineyards. It is here, where you'll taste some soon-to-be-cult Cabernet Sauvignons before adjourning to Barnett's veranda where you'll partake in a catered repast, while gazing at a 180-degree vista of northern Napa Valley.
